When an artist reaches the level of success Lil Wayne has, they become automatic targets. At the height of his success, Lil Wayne was sentenced to a year in prison. Aside from being behind bars, a former lover claimed Wayne was the father of her ten-year-old daughter. Upon reaching the top of the mountain, many things come in hopes of pulling one down.

TMZ recently reported Lil Wayne was sued by Red City Entertainment in 2009. The company claimed to have paid Lil Wayne $432,000 upfront to perform in the Bahamas. When showtime arrived, however, Lil Wayne did not show up. Red City Entertainment sent police officers to find Lil Wayne and bring him to the show. Law enforcement discovered Wayne passed out, drunk. Lil Wayne denies this, saying he was never passed out on his bed.

Lil Wayne argues the concert, itself, was cancelled. While he cannot remember the exact circumstances, Wayne argues he was not the reason the show was cancelled.
