Lil Wayne kicked out of Oklahoma City Thunder game

In five years, Lil Wayne has dramatically increased his stock. Previously known as a gold-to-platinum selling artist, Lil Wayne transformed himself into the biggest rapper in the game. While there are many who love Lil Wayne, there are many who are not fond of his antics. During his run atop the rap game, Bangladesh has provided a number of hits for Lil Wayne. Bangladesh had to take Lil Wayne to court to receive compensation for his work.

There have been a number of issues with Lil Wayne and his camp over proper compensation, some who have a case and others who do not. As evidenced by his appearances on ESPN and his debates with Skip Bayless, Lil Wayne is a major sports fan. He previously attended a Miami Heat game, early in 2011, and was mad because Dwyane Wade and LeBron James did not acknowledge him. In a game this season, both Wade and James shook hands with Lil Wayne.

The Oklahoma City Thunder have taken the NBA by storm over the past three seasons, rising from one of the league’s worst teams to being a few wins away from the NBA Finals. Led by fan favorite, Kevin Durant, suddenly everyone wants to be at a Thunder game. Though a New Orleans native, Lil Wayne was recently in Oklahoma City and wanted to sit courtside at the Thunder’s game three of the NBA Western Conference Finals against the San Antonio Spurs. With no ticket, let alone courtside tickets, Lil Wayne was removed from the arena.

Mack Maine revealed the Thunder were not really open to selling courtside tickets to Lil Wayne and company, something the organization denies.
