It’s no secret that Lil Wayne is on the outs with Birdman. Seeing how he used to call that man his father so much that people actually believed it, this is very jarring. But, when it comes down to it, Lil Wayne is not actually Birdman’s family.
Ultimately, as Lil Wayne took over the rap game, Cash Money Records just happened to be the label that he was signed to. The label that actually held his heart was Young Money. Their decline, Lil Wayne firmly places that blame on Birdman and his poor management skills.
Recently, Lil Wayne was in concert and he led another rant against his longtime label, Cash Money Records. Once again, he ended the rant by shouting out Jay Z and Roc Nation. On top of that, Lil Wayne says Tha Carter V, originally due in 2014, is dropping this year with the Roc Nation label.
