On Saturday afternoon, Vice President Kamala Harris hosted a hip-hop 50th anniversary event, at her Washington, D.C. residence. As a result, plenty of stars attended. The stars included Common, D-Nice, Doug E. Fresh, Fat Joe, Jeezy, Lil Wayne, MC Lyte, Remy Ma, Slick Rick, Too Short, and many more. Of course, the optics of this bode well, as Harris and the president, Joe Biden, are preparing for the 2024 campaign.
Meanwhile, there were also performances included, at Vice President Harris’ event. This includes Lil Wayne, as he’s going viral for performing his classic 2008 hit single, “Ms. Officer.” That record initially appeared on his “Tha Carter III” album, at the time, and also featured Bobby V. This performance also came after Q-Tip hit the stage to perform his classic “Vivrant Thing” single
Furthermore, Wayne is also currently working on his “Tha Carter 6” album. However, an official release date has yet to be publicly revealed. Wayne initially revealed plans for this project last August, when he performed at Drake’s OVO Fest concert, in Toronto. Wayne’s last project came back in late 2021, which was “Trust Fund Babies,” with Rich The Kid.
