Lil Wayne promises fans he will step up after not being nominated for BET or MTV awards on Twitter

For a while, a lot of critics really were considering putting Lil Wayne in the same category as the legends. Right before Tha Carter IV, Lil Wayne had such strong buzz and presence, but it did not last. Lil Wayne dropped the album and it was met with mixed reviews and high record sales.

However, the music Lil Wayne has dropped since Tha Carter IV has not lived up to the standards of someone claiming to be a legend. Even though Lil Wayne remains the highest-selling rapper in the game, his sales are rapidly dropping. As more and more fans are tuning out, Lil Wayne is taking notice.

Lil Wayne has found himself not in the conversation for awards for the first time in years and a lot of people think it’s over. These detractors will have a hard time convincing Lil Wayne of this. The Young Money leader took to his Twitter and he apologized for the fans for not making BET or MTV and made a promise to do better.
