Seeing where Lil Wayne once was, it is sad to see him how he is now, doing mostly club performances. As recently as 2012, Lil Wayne was the biggest name in music. However, the disagreement with Birdman has delayed Tha Carter V until most have nearly forgotten about it.
Months into this whole thing with Birdman and Cash Money, Wayne reached out to Jay-Z. Obviously, Lil Wayne hopes to join Roc Nation, and move Young Money there, too. But, given the circumstances, all he could do was join the TIDAL alliance.
Lil Wayne had several other projects he wanted to do, outside of C5, which would be his final album. Among them was Devol, a project he announced in 2012, during his I Am Not a Human Being 2 promo run. Now, he is giving teasers of each new album in an unnamed opus, boasting features from Jeezy, and many others.
