Lil Wayne rumored to be releasing first single off “Tha Carter V” next week, is he retiring soon?
As soon as Lil Wayne finally made his climb to the top of the mountain, which was Tha Carter III, he began discussing retirement. Initially, Lil Wayne’s comments did not mean much because he said he wanted to retire from the game once he turned thirty-five. At the time, Lil Wayne was only twenty-five years old.
When Lil Wayne began the promotion for Tha Carter IV some three years later, he began discussing retirement again. In terms of popularity, Lil Wayne is still arguably the most-popular rapper in the game or at least top five. Several times, Lil Wayne has stated he wants to drop three or four more albums before he retires.
Lil Wayne wants to conclude his career with the release of Tha Carter V. Before all of this, many expected to see more I Am Not a Human Being albums, Devol, and the other promised albums. But, according to Lil Wayne insider, Mel Smith, the first single off Tha Carter V is due next week, which would mean retirement.
