The ongoing war between Lil Wayne and Birdman has had a lot of people asking questions. Given the levels of success Lil Wayne has enjoyed over the years, this situation transcends hip hop news. Many have questioned how it will work if Lil Wayne leaves Cash Money Records.
Previously, Lil Wayne said he was only on Young Money. This is the label Birdman granted him in 2005. During this same period, Birdman appointed Lil Wayne as the president of the whole Cash Money. But, it was short-lived, as Lil Wayne wanted to focus on music.
Lil Wayne went on to add Nicki Minaj and Drake to Young Money. He was met with tremendous success over the past six years. Both have done their best to stay out of the beef, but both have said they are sticking with Lil Wayne, no matter what. Now, TMZ is reporting Lil Wayne has stated that when he leaves Cash Money Records, he is leaving with Nicki Minaj and Drake.
