Officially a year has passed since Lil Wayne took the rap game by storm with Tha Carter IV, the highest-selling album of 2011. Immediately following the release of the album, which had been anticipated since 2009, Lil Wayne began working on his next album. Lil Wayne has since been preparing for his next album, I Am Not a Human Being 2.
Lil Wayne promised to release Tha Carter IV during the summer of 2011. However, the album faced several delays in between time. After delaying the mixtape one last time, Lil Wayne released a mixtape to hold fans over. Sorry 4 Tha Wait came before the release of Tha Carter IV, which contained a diss aimed at Jay-Z.
Now preparing his I Am Not a Human Being 2 album, Lil Wayne is going to release a mixtape before the album. Lil Wayne teamed up with DJ Drama for the long-overdue, Dedication 4, which was initially set for an August 14 release. However, Lil Wayne delayed the mixtape to give fans time to support 2 Chainz. Recently, Lil Wayne provided an update, announcing a Labor Day release for the album.
