This year has been a rough one for Lil Wayne, but he still remains one of the highest-selling rappers in the game. Until Jay-Z released Magna Carta Holy Grail, Lil Wayne was the highest-selling rapper of 2013. But, there has been a lot of controversy surrounding Lil Wayne, business as usual.
Trayvon Martin remains the most-controversial story of the year, however. Last year, he was murdered while walking down the street. The assailant, George Zimmerman, was found not guilty on all charges a few weeks ago and the protests have been ongoing.
Recently, Lil Wayne performed in Washington, DC and he brought his controversy mixed with more controversy. All of the hip hop community has placed their support behind the family of Trayvon Martin. Before he took it off, Lil Wayne performed and was wearing a Trayvon Martin t-shirt to show his appreciation.
