He delays the album to make sure every detail on the project is perfect and he is going all out on this one.
Lil Wayne had a chip on his shoulder, as a fairly popular rapper, but never considered at the top of the game. He single-handedly changed this when he released Tha Carter and it got him looks from the entire industry. After releasing Tha Carter II, Lil Wayne went on a mainstream hiatus and began cranking out mixtapes until Tha Carter III dropped.
Fans waited all day for Lil Wayne’s album to drop and it didn’t. Never one to disappoint fans, Lil Wayne reached out via PSA to reveal the new album release date. December 1 is when Tha Carter V, Pt. 1 will be released, thus making Tha Carter V an album series within itself.
