Let the spiraling downfall of Linda Fairstein serve as a great lesson for every single individual who misuse whatever platform and power they are granted within society. We all have to answer for the actions and decisions we make in life. Sooner than later.
Fairstein thought she could skate through life peddling her books and have a successful career after the deplorable part she played in the case of the Central Park 5 back in 1989. Well no matter how long ago it was, the law of the universe still applies and it is finally forcing Fairstein to answer for what she has done.
Another development in the dismantling of Fairstein’s professional career, it was announced recently that Linda’s longtime book publisher, Dutton, has ended their relationship with her. In a statement to the news Dutton’s spokeswoman Amanda Walker confirmed that both Dutton and their company, Penguin Random House, has “terminated its relationship” with the best selling crime author.
This comes on the heels of the success following Ava DuVernay’s ‘When They See Us’ Netflix limited series. Since the release of this show, massive vitriol and backlash has been centered around Linda Fairstein. On top of losing her book publishing, she resigned from nonprofit boards, Safe Horizon, God’s Love We Deliver, the Joyful Heart Foundation, and Vassar College as backlash intensified.
