Lizzo clarifies that she’s not quitting being an artist after recent post
A few days ago, Lizzo took to Instagram to vent about how she’s been mistreated on social media. As a result, she went on to say that she is “quitting.” Therefore, many believed that she referred to quitting the music industry and not releasing songs anymore.
However, Lizzo just took to social media and clarified her comments. She emphasized that she isn’t quitting as an artist, but is quitting giving negativity attention.
“When I say I quit, I mean I quit giving any negative energy attention. What I’m not gonna quit, is the joy of my life, which is making music which is connecting the people.”
Furthermore, this comes after Lizzo was hit by a lawsuit by her former dancers, in early 2023. These accusations involved sexual harassment and false imprisonment. Lizzo allegedly bashed the women’s performances and accused them of drinking while working. Being forced to audition for their roles also supposedly came with needing to urinate their pants, due to not being able to take work breaks.
