Lizzo has been catching a lot of backlash on social media this month, due to a lawsuit made by former tour dancers of hers. This was as a result of sexual harassment claims, body shaming, and more inappropriate requests allegedly made by Lizzo. This included allegedly being forced to touched naked dancers in Amsterdam. Therefore, the dancers are seeking damages in court compensated to them. Furthermore, the women have been identified as Crystal Williams, Noelle Rodriguez, and Arianna Davis. Six additional former employees have also since filed complains, regarding similar situations.

Meanwhile, it appears that this lawsuit is beginning to damage major opportunities for Lizzo. According to The Daily Mail, the NFL has reportedly removed her from Super Bowl Halftime Show consideration, due to this ongoing legal issue.

“Talks of Lizzo being a part of the Halftime festivities, or performing the National Anthem, are dead now that she is surrounded by scandal,” said a source close to the outlet.

However, Lizzo went on to deny the allegations made. This was done so in a lengthy statement on Instagram. She emphasized that the former employees already previously “publicly admitted that they were told their behavior on tour was inappropriate and unprofessional.”

Earlier this week, Lizzo’s headlining performance at Jay Z’s annual Made In America Festival in Philadelphia was also canceled. The festival in general was canceled in general, as they cited “severe circumstances outside of production control.
