Lizzo sued by former dancers for inappropriate workplace
Lizzo is running into some serious legal woes, regarding former dancers that she employed. According to TMZ, she is being sued for inappropriate working conditions, which includes sexual harassment, false imprisonment and interference with prospective economic advantage.
Furthermore, these women have been identified as three former backup dancers for Lizzo, who are Arianna Davis, Crystal Williams and Noelle Rodriguez. They worked for the singer and her touring company from 2021-2023. One of the uncomfortable situations faced by them was being forced to attend nude shows while in Amsterdam and Paris with Lizzo. This included being force to touch the nude dancers in Amsterdam.
In addition to these accusations, Lizzo also allegedly bashed the women’s performances and accused them of drinking while working. Being forced to audition for their roles again were supposedly a situation as well, and even had to urinate their pants, due to not being able to take work breaks. As a result, these dancers are suing Lizzo for damages.
Meanwhile, Lizzo has yet to publicly address these allegations. This could definitely be the case for quite some time, due to the ongoing backlash as a result of this lawsuit.
