Lizzo’s “Special” debuts at number two in US 

Over a week ago, Lizzo released her highly anticipated fourth studio album, “Special.” This was led by her latest hit single “About Damn Time,” which was released in April, and peaked at number three in the US. It is also platinum in the US.

Lizzo’s Special project contained 12 songs in total, as well as a “Very Special Message From Lizzo” which served as the outro. Fans also enjoyed “Grrrls,” which has been another viral sensation.

Now, the first week numbers are officially in, for Special. According to Chart Data, it has debuted at number two, on the Billboard 200 chart. It album sold 69,000 units, in its first week. Special also accumulated 37.07 million on demand streams.

Bad Bunny’s “Un Verano Sin Ti” continues to hold the position of the top album in the US. It has officially reached a sixth week at number one, as it sold 103,000 units over the past week. Un Verano Sin Ti has since sold over 1,574,000 units since it’s release.

Special was Lizzo’s first album in three years, as this follows up her breakout 2019. At the time, she soared to stardom with her “Cuz I Luv You” project.
