Lizzo’s ‘Truth Hurts’ Ties Cardi B’s ‘Bodak Yellow’ For Longest-Running Billboard Hot 100 Single By A Female Rap Artist

Lizzo has had a hell of a 2019 as her 2017 single ‘Truth Hurts‘ finally took off and showed that greatness really does take time. In addition to this single, she released her third studio album ‘Cuz I Luv You‘ and also starred in the movie ‘Hustlers‘ with Jennifer Lopez, Keke Palmer, Constance Wu, and more. It hit theaters on September 13.

Truth Hurts is still the top song in the country as it currently sits at No.1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. This position has now achieved a new record as Lizzo ties Cardi B’s 2017 smash single ‘Bodak Yellow‘ for the longest-running hot 100 single by a female rap artist, according to Chart Data.

Lizzo took to Twitter to celebrate the accolade as she shouted out Cardi by saying “LOVE U CARDI LETS GET THIS SCHMONEYYY IN THEATERS NOW.” Cardi also co-starred in the film as well. Hustlers has received positive reviews by movie-goers as well as it grossed over $33.2 million in North America for its opening weekend.
