LL Cool J gives Jay-Z the death stare at the 56th Annual Grammy Awards [PHOTO]

A hip hop pioneer who helped bring the game forward is LL Cool J. His run of hits reign for twenty four years. In recent years, LL Cool J has spent more time on television with his role in “NCIS: Los Angeles.” But, before he took his hiatus, LL made a lot of headlines over his situation with Jay-Z.

In 2005, Jay-Z officially took over as president of Def Jam. This made him the boss to LL Cool J and the rest of the roster. As the founding artist of the label, LL Cool J received special treatment in the past that he no longer received. LL Cool J became very vocal about his displeasure of Jay-Z’s presidency.

While LL Cool J spoke out to defend Justin Bieber in the wake of his recent battles, there was no love lost between him and Jay-Z. Both were in attendance at the 56th Annual Grammy Awards in Los Angeles. From the looks of things, LL Cool J still has resentment. As LL Cool J has said in the past, he was never anti-Jay-Z, he was pro-LL Cool J and if his eyes could burn, Jay-Z would’ve been charred last night.
