Lola Brooke earns first Billboard Hot 100 with “Don’t Play With It”

Lola Brooke has been one of hip-hop’s hottest breakout artists, since the end of 2022. At the time, her 2021 “Don’t Play With It” single featuring fellow Brooklyn native Billy B went viral. Lola also went on to put out her “Here I Go” single, last fall. January 2023 went on to see Lola officially sign to Arista Records, as well. That is in partnership with Team 80 Productions.

Don’t Play With It has since also been on fire, in 2023. As a result, Lola went on to release the official remix, last month. That included two huge features from Latto and Yung Miami. They also shot the video for that collaboration, in New York City.

Therefore, Don’t Play With It is now officially Lola’s first Billboard Hot 100 single. It has a number 69 debut, as this includes both the original version, and remix

In addition to the Don’t Play With It remix being released last month, Lola also put out her first single of 2023. That was “So Disrespectful,” as the visuals for it were also unveiled.
