Lola Brooke goes platinum with breakout “Don’t Play With It” single
Over the past year, Lola Brooke has soared into stardom, in being one of the hottest new breakout artists out of New York. She initially went viral in the fall of 2022, for her 2021 “Don’t Play With It” single, which also featured fellow Brooklyn native, Billy B.
Furthermore, Lola has just reached a new milestone, with Don’t Play With It. It has now been certified platinum by the RIAA, in the US. This comes after selling over 1 million units.
In the spring of 2023, Lola Brooke also put out the official remix for Don’t Play With It. This included two huge features from Yung Miami and Latto. As a result, Don’t Play With It went on to debut at number 69 in the US, on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
This also comes after Lola Brooke released the deluxe edition to her 2023 “Dennis’ Daughter” album, last week. Four new songs were included, such as the latest “Bend Ova” featuring A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie and Big Freedia and “Becky” featuring 41 singles.
