Coco Jones & more attend Angie Martinez & D’USSÉ’s NYC BBQ
This past weekend, legendary New York radio host Angie Martinez of Power 105.1 hosted her annual summer barbecue event, at the Brooklyn Boardwalk in Coney Island. This event was sponsored by D’USSÉ Cognac, as various artists made appearances as well.
Among those in attendance included Kaliii, Lola Brooke, Coco Jones, as well as Nems. Performances were also made by Coco, Lola & Kaliii. Furthermore, a D’USSÉ bar area was available backstage, as these artists were treated to various cocktails by the popular cognac brand, which was initially founded by Jay Z.
Furthermore, Lola, Kaliii and Coco Jones have also had a major breakout year in the industry. Lola signed to Artista Records at the top of 2023, amid the massive success of her 2021 “Don’t Play With It” single with Billy B going viral. The remix also included Yung Miami and Latti, this year. The Brooklyn native is also buzzing with her “So Disrespectful” single. Kaliii has another hit on her hands with “Area Codes,” which peaked at number 33 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Meanwhile, Coco Jones has also been of R&B’s best, as her “ICU” single helped her soar to stardom. This summer also resulted in that record featuring Justin Timberlake on the remix.
