At the end of December, ‘Love and Hip-Hop: Hollywood”s Masika Kalysha got engaged to her boyfriend, Jamar Champ. The two had been dating for four months. However, they have actually known each other for over a decade. She constantly curved Champ but finally gave him a chance. Initially, things turned out well as they got engaged in Houston publicly at an event.
This engagement has ended quickly though as on Friday, Kalysha and Champ both took to Instagram to reveal that it has been called off. Kalysha is also accusing Champ of being extorted by him. She also believes that Champ was using her as a come-up.
“After much thought and careful consideration, along with some unfortunate findings, I have made the difficult decision to call off my engagement,” said Kalysha. “We genuinely love and care for each other, unfortunately when you are a public figure love does not cover a multitude of sins. After doing my due diligence I uncovered a pandoras box of findings that left me questioning everything I thought I knew about this person. I confided in him. I thought he was my best friend, partner and confidant; but instead he was trying to come up at my expense and extort me… Please respect my privacy.”
Champ went on to speak on the engagement being called off on his IG stories. He believed hat Kalysha didn’t have anything to bring to the table believes if someone doesn’t contribute after $100,000 was spend, then they should shut up. He added that “momma didn’t raise no fool.”
As for Kalysha, she explained that she will continue to be a women’s advocate and stand up for any woman who’s been sexually abused, assaulted, or mistreated.
