Ludacris is developing a new series for CBS about gang drama with Ryan Seacrest

A couple of weeks ago, Ludacris made a cameo appearance on “Empire” where he served as a foil to Lucious (Terrence Howard). Unfortunately, Ludacris’ character saw a fate similar to that of Chris Rock. Hopefully, things go better for Ludacris in his latest television venture.
In the early to mid 2000s, Ludacris established himself as one of rap’s biggest artists. Along the way, Ludacris sold tons of records for his longtime label, Def Jam. No longer releasing albums the way he used to, the Atlanta rapper still makes big moves in music.
Ludacris’ next venture, however, is going to be television. Via reality television, namely the Kardashians on E!, Ryan Seacrest has become one of the biggest moguls in the television business. This is why it made sense for Ludacris to team up with him to do a gang drama they are doing for CBS, called “The Down Beat.” Already, over the past decade, Luda has become critically-acclaimed as a popular film actor.
One of his most-acclaimed roles came in 2004, with Crash. His press for this film led to his issues with Oprah Winfrey.
