In terms of music, Ludacris has not released anything since 2010. At the time, Ludacris planned to release his collaborative album with Shawnna. Planned for years, the name of the project was Battle of the Sexes. When it was time to record the album, Shawnna abruptly left DTP Records.
Ludacris recorded the album on his own, only featuring collaborations from female rappers. With Nicki Minaj emerging during this period of time, the album is best-known for its “My Chick Bad” single. Since then, Nicki Minaj has gone on to take the game over and on the other hand, Ludacris has fallen out of the spotlight.
Letting 2011 and 2012 pass him by, Ludacris is preparing to get back into the spotlight in 2013 with the release of his Ludaversal album. In addition to his Ludaversal album, Ludacris is starring in Fast & Furious 6. Ludacris talked about the movie and his new album with Fly Times Daily recently.
