Hard to believe its been fourteen years since Ludacris hit the game hard with his breakthrough single, “What’s Your Fantasy?” with Shawnna. Disturbing Tha Peace ran the hip hop world for a good five years. Enjoying a run on the top of the game from 2000 to 2005, Ludacris has since remained a background figure.
This was partially intentional, as Ludacris made the decision to focus more on other ventures. While rap was good to him and Ludacris has solidified himself as a legend, he wanted to find success in acting and business. Hosting also appears to be something Ludacris is good at.
Ludacris, at one point, was viewed as one of the most controversial figures in the rap game. Infamously, Ludacris went back and forth with Bill O’Reilly after it cost him his endorsement deal with Pepsi. But, Ludacris more than won that war and now he is hosting the 2014 Billboard Music Awards.
