Throughout his career, Lupe Fiasco has made a name for himself by not working with many other artists. Early in his career, Lupe Fiasco received a major boost from being featured on the hit Kanye West single, “Touch the Sky.” In 2006, Lupe Fiasco released his debut album, Food & Liquor, which featured contributions from Jay-Z and Pharrell.
Lupe Fiasco has not worked with many artists more than once, but he often collaborates with Pharrell. The two have had a strong working relationship over the past five years and they intend to take it to the next level. As Lupe Fiasco is currently working on the sequel to his debut album, he announced he and Pharrell also have a project in the works.
Last year, several rappers teamed up for collaborative albums. Perhaps the best-known collaborative album of the year was Jay-Z and Kanye West’s Watch the Throne album. Now, Lupe Fiasco and Pharrell will be in the studio, working on a joint album. Previously, Lupe Fiasco and Pharrell teamed up with Kanye West for an album, which was never released. There is not much information about the album, aside from the duo beginning to work on the new project.
