Lupe Fiasco announces completion of “Food & Liquor 2”

Initially, Lupe Fiasco intended to release two albums last year. After being unable to release an album for four years, Lupe Fiasco wanted to deliver his Lasers album a sequel to his 2006 debut, Food & Liquor. After battling with his label over the content of the album and the release date, Lupe Fiasco’s second 2011 release did not come.

Despite this, Lupe Fiasco continued to work on new music. Lupe Fiasco has been steadily working on Food & Liquor 2: Great American Rap Album Pt. 1. Lupe Fiasco stated, with this album, the only hold-up was deciding if it would be a double disc or single disc. After deciding, the album was completed.

Lupe Fiasco is currently preparing to preview the album to Atlantic Records in New York City and he is tentatively slating the album for a July release. More information about the album will soon be released, so readers can return to Hip Hop Vibe for more information.
