Little from Lupe Fiasco has been heard since his promotion of last year’s Lasers. Until a few months ago, Lupe Fiasco was last seen in Atlanta performing at the 2011 BET Hip Hop Awards. Months later, as promised, Lupe Fiasco is back, preparing for the long-awaited sequel to his debut album, Food  & Liquor.

So far, 2012 has proven to be a good year for Chicago and the hip hop scene. Common started things off with a blast, with his feud with Drake. Meanwhile, Twista has consistently released new music. In recent years, Kanye West has been Chicago’s franchise player and 2012 has also been a strong year from him. However, newcomer, Chief Keef, has also become a major role player.

Recently, Lupe Fiasco returned to Chicago, speaking with “The Morning Riot.” During his interview, the controversial rapper spoke on his new single, being dissed by Pete Rock following the release of his new single, “Around My Way,” and the impact Chief Keef is having.
