Chief Keef became one of the biggest discussions recently. The young rapper previously caught the attention of the hip hop world with his “I Don’t Like” single. Immediately, the song became a favorite, leading Kanye West to remix it. Including verses from Pusha T, Big Sean, and Jadakiss, the remix put Chief Keef on the map.

A bidding war over Chief Keef began, with Birdman and Young Jeezy expressing interest in signing the young rapper. While Chief Keef appeared to be leaning towards Young Jeezy, he would ultimately sign with Interscope Records. After signing, Chief Keef’s video series gained a larger audience and his lifestyle came into question, given his young age.

Receiving multiple co-signs, Lupe Fiasco warned against this, fearing his style. With Chicago being the center of much gang violence, Lupe Fiasco felt Chief Keef was having the wrong impact. When posts from Chief Keef’s Twitter laughed at the death of Lil Jojo and disrespected Lupe, this proved to be right. Facing a media backlash, Chief Keef and his grandma have spoken.

In Toronto, Lupe Fiasco performed and shouted out Chief Keef, calling him the “big homie.” With his latest statement, it is safe to believe their minor feud is now over.
