Luscious (Lucious) Lyon gets dissed by #Empire fans for cock blocking Angelo, being a petty jerk to Cookie, and him trying to kill his mama

It is hard to imagine “Empire” without Lucious Lyon (Terrence Howard) terrorizing his family. Lee Daniels scored a major win in choosing Howard for this role. Veteran soap opera viewers can agree that Lucious Lyon is hip hop’s Victor Newman and that’s big.

Lucious’ continued torture of his family, particularly Cookie (Taraji P. Henson), as she tries to move on, is draining, though. Still, it is so addictive and so entertaining. Love him or hate him, Lucious definitely keeps things interesting.

But, his antics wore on the “Empire” fans tonight, as they disliked all the moves Lucious made to block Angelo’s (Taye Diggs) advances on Cookie. They also disliked his weird marriage to Anika (Grace Byers) and him raising her kid with his son, Hakeem (Bryshere “Yazz” Gray) and his routine Jamal (Jussie Smollett) insults. This did it for the fans and then the promos showed him choking his mom, Leah (Leslie Uggams).
