Mac Miller announces “Macadelic” tour dates

Mac Miller’s popularity began to rise due to his frequent mixtape releases. His growing popularity led to his deal with Rostrum Records, his hometown, Pittsburgh’s, local record label. To date, Rostrum remains the home of fellow Pittsburgh superstar emcee, Wiz Khalifa.

Numerous parallels between Mac Miller and Wiz Khalifa exist. However, these parallels end with their current label situations. Despite being Rostrum label-mates, the two differed when it came to major labels. Where Wiz Khalifa signed to the major label, Atlantic Records, Mac Miller remained independent.

With Blue Slide Park, Mac Miller’s debut album, records were broken. Months after the album’s release, Mac Miller returned with his Macadelic mixtape. The project was highly popular and has inspired a tour. Mac Miller has launched the Macadelic tour with YG and Travis Porter, among others. The tour begins on September 13.
