Mac Miller talks dropping album the same day as Kanye West and J. Cole with DJ Skee [VIDEO]
Mac Miller is no longer an outsider to this rap game. When he first rose to fame, the only outlet Mac Miller had was the internet. But, Mac Miller has accomplished so much in the time since then. Recently, Mac Miller concluded his first season as a reality television star, as MTV2’s “Mac Miller and The Most Dope Family” wrapped for the season.
Two years ago, Mac Miller showed what he was capable of when his debut album, Blue Slide Park debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 charts. No independent artist had done that since Big L in 1999. Shock value is now gone and Mac Miller has his own talents, solely, to rely on.
DJ Skee sat down with Mac Miller at the Skee Lodge and he talked about his sophomore album. Watching Movies with the Sound Off is the name of the album and it will be released on June 18, the same day as Kanye West’s Yeezus and J. Cole’s Born Sinner. In the interview, Mac Miller talked about facing off with them.
