The year of 2020 has been a wild ride and it’s almost over. Many people don’t know whether that’s a good thing, or not. But, it is a blessing to have survived all of the madness that has taken place, this year.
Everything has been impacted, this year, and many businesses have ended. Even the universities have struggled, due to the pandemic making on-campus activities tough, for most of this year. As things are opening back up, they are not the same.
However, three North Carolina HBCUs have been blessed by the fourth-richest woman in the world. MacKenzie Scott, better known as MacKenzie Bezos, the ex-wife of Amazon founder, Jeff Bezos, the richest man in the world, donated $90 million to three North Carolina HBCUs. The institutions are Winston-Salem State University, North Carolina A&T State University, and Elizabeth City State University.
