Macklemore and Ryan Lewis go double platinum with “Can’t Hold Us”

Hip hop has come full circle in an unexpected way. Suddenly, everybody in the game is a member of a crew and rappers run with their DJs again. Of course, Macklemore and Ryan Lewis do not scream Eric B. and Rakim, but they embody what hip hop is. Being themselves has made Macklemore and Ryan Lewis the biggest act in the game.

Microsoft thought enough of Macklemore and Ryan Lewis to feature their “Can’t Hold Us” single in their commercial. “Can’t Hold Us” has done exceptionally well since it has been released. Macklemore and Ryan Lewis are on a roll with their music, as their singles continue to rack up plaques.

“Can’t Hold Us” recently certified at platinum, but Macklemore and Ryan Lewis tend to go much higher than platinum. “Thrift Shop” is at quadruple platinum and counting, which means “Can’t Hold Us” has more in store. Earlier today, Macklemore and Ryan Lewis revealed “Can’t Hold Us” has gone double platinum.
