Recently, Maino released his King of Brooklyn EP, which features appearances from many of the biggest names in Brooklyn. The title of this project is assumed by many as Maino establishing himself in the hip hop circuit. Maino has worked hard over the past six years and it’s paid off.
Last year, Maino got into it with Trinidad James over his comments about the hip hop scene in New York. Their situation became very high-profile and Maino said he stepped up to defend his city. In the end, Maino let it be known that there was no beef between the two of them.
This morning, Maino stopped by Power 105.1 to talk to Charlamagne Tha God, Angela Yee, and DJ Envy of “The Breakfast Club.” He discussed the King of Brooklyn EP and his status as King of Brooklyn. Maino also talked about Lil’ Kim’s pregnancy and their longstanding friendship along with the New York hip hop scene.
