Since the summer of 2008, Maino has starred in his own internet reality show, “Up Close & Personal.” The series followed Maino, as he promoted and released his debut album, If Tomorrow Comes… Even as Maino faded into the background, he still released episodes of this series. During one taping, Maino revealed he had a new album in the works.

Two years have passed since Maino discussed this album, but he is still working hard to get it released. After several delays Maino finally got things going. Last fall, the lead single, “That Could Be Us,” was released to the radio, becoming a major hit. Early in 2012, Maino announced his album, The Day After Tomorrow, would be released on February 28.

Eleven days before the official release of his sophomore album, Maino released the official trailer for the third season of his reality season. The third season will be different for a number of reasons, with the primary one being “Up Close & Personal” will now air on MTV2. Last year, MTV2 broadcasted a series focusing on emerging Young Money rapper, Cory Gunz.
