Ice Spice is a continuation of the resurgence New York has had in hip hop. The days of New York rap being the sole city dominating are over. Numerous other cities have a foothold in the game. Also, the mecca of this current hip hop era is the city of Atlanta. This is evidenced with even the New York rappers showing heavy Southern influences.
Ice Spice definitely has had a heavy influence on the game, herself. Like Nicki Minaj, well over a decade before, there are young women modeling themselves after her. As a result, there are a lot of women who could easily be mistaken for her. One woman working in New York City and a man came into the job and drew attention to her, saying she looks like Ice Spice. Meanwhile, the woman tried to duck the camera.
