Life can change at the drop of a hat and can never be the same. For a Texas man, his life changed, and it is impossible for things to be the same. When he arrived at the hospital, the 35-year-old man was checking on his mother. She was the one who was sick, but the family was soon worried about keeping him alive. While at the hospital, the man fell ill, and it was originally thought that he had the flu. He ultimately had to have both his hands and parts of removed.

Michael Kohlhof is a miracle within itself, because he wasn’t expected to make it. Soon after the Houston man visited his mother in a San Antonio hospital, he fell ill. The man’s health quickly took a turn for the worst and it wasn’t looking good for him. In fact, the doctors told the family that he was not going to make it. As a result, the family prepared for the worst. However, they received a miracle, when Kohlhof awoke from what was believed to be a permanent rest.

Quickly, Michael Kohlhof went from being moral support to needing support. The Houston man traveled to San Antonio to visit his mother in the hospital. After that, Kohlhof found himself hospitalized, initially diagnosed with the flu. Later, he was rushed to the ICU, suffering from sepsis and organ failure. As a result, the doctors said he would not live. He managed to pull through and the doctors have surmised he must’ve developed typhus from a flea that bit him.
