Sadly, it appears as though nowhere is safe, even though some say that in slang terms, it’s true. Some societal norms were believed to always remain true. An unwritten rule is that men are to always protect women. Nowadays, that seems to be one of those rules that got rewritten. A woman was waiting, alone, on a busy city street. Suddenly, a man pulled up to her on a moped. He stole her phone and sped off.
Most American cities are known for their picturesque skylines that light up at night. This is what sells a lot of people on various cities. However, each of those tall buildings has a bottom. Those bottoms are the streets and some provide a stark contrast to what the skyline shows. One woman ended up being the victim of what the bottom provides.
Apparently, this woman was waiting on something or someone. The woman was on a city sidewalk, simply scrolling on her phone, while pacing. While she was doing that, a man rode up to her on a moped, and she went towards him. It’s unclear what he said to make her even walk to him. However, he snatched her phone from her hands, and sped off. As a result, she tried to chase him to no avail.
