Twenty years ago, today, the world changed and it’s continued evolving. The past five years have seen robots and other forms of artificial intelligence being integrated into society. Still, the idea of seeing robots out in public are shocking to many people. Apparently, this is something people will have to get used to. Yesterday, an actual interracial robotic couple attended a Chargers’ game, alongside regular people.

Historically, the Los Angeles Chargers have been the lesser team, in terms of popularity in LA. In 2017, both the Chargers and the Rams returned to Los Angeles. Originally, the Chargers only played the 1960 season in LA. Through the bulk of the franchise’s history, the Chargers played in San Diego. However, circumstances led to both the Chargers and Rams returning to Los Angeles at the same time. Now, the Chargers are the franchise making history.

Yesterday, a man received a lot of attention on Twitter. The man claimed he saw a real life robot and his tweet was seen well over 800,000 times. After his tweet was quoted and reshared, one person came back with proof the man wasn’t making it up. This man shared a photo of a robotic couple sitting beside each other at a LA Chargers game. At a glance, the couple looks human. However, the female was White, and the man was Black. Both were robots and people expressed discomfort with this.
