In the early 2000s, Mario had the R&B game on lock. Only sixteen years old when he first came in, Mario held it down with some impressive singles. He owned the summer of 2002 with “Just A Friend,” sampling and featuring Biz Markie, but he really made his name in 2004.
The late summer of 2004 saw Mario release “Let Me Love You,” his most-known single to date. Later years saw such singles as “Crying Out For Me” and the Lil Wayne/Busta Rhymes remix. But, Mario has kept silent since 2013, working out his own business deals to come back stronger.
Mario is indeed coming back stronger when he comes to Brooklyn at The Temple on April 24. Here, Mario will headline DJ Mel-o.D.’s Spring Breakout Concert and Fashion Show. Media coverage will be handled by Hip Hop Vibe, with K.B. Tindal and DJ Louie Styles present.
