Throughout his career, Anderson Varejao has always been that “thorn in the side” player. His job, no different from Draymond Green, is to get into it with the opposing superstar player. One way he does this is through his flopping.
If there was ever a time when Anderson Varejao needed to flop and get some calls, it was tonight. The Golden State Warriors are in need of a win tonight to celebrate their second straight title. But, the Cavaliers have other plans.
Earlier in the fourth quarter, Anderson Varejao got hit while he was going up for a score. After flopping to the ground, Varejao held his head, leading those who don’t know his game to think he was injured. Offering commentary, Mark Jackson pointed out his acting, calling it “Denzelish” and winning Twitter in the process.
