“Martin” 30-year anniversary special, is coming to BET+, later this year

“Martin” 30-year reunion to air on BET+

“Martin” is one of the most iconic sitcoms over the last 30 years, as it originally aired in 1992. It aired for six seasons, and also turned Martin Lawrence into a superstar. The series concluded after six seasons though, after a feud between Lawrence and Tisha Campbell.

Lawrence and Campbell appear to be all good at this point, and now, a reunion special is finally in the works. Campbell also confirmed this news, on her Instagram feed, on Saturday night. The actress said “Y’all ready?!WE ARE!!!” She also went on to post some behind the scenes videos, of her getting her makeup done, for the reunion, and posing with cast member, Tichina Arnold.

Lawrence also spoke on his excitement, for the highly anticipated reunion. This comes as filling will begin on February 20, and air later this year, on BET+.

“To be able to sit here thirty years later with this amazing cast that has had such an impact on pop culture is truly a blessing. (Via Deadline) I am always humbled that the fans still want more of the show and its characters. I am looking forward to the reunion special.”

The reunion special will also be missing one cast member, in Thomas Mikal Ford. He played the role of Tommy, but unfortunately passed away, back in the fall of 2016. This was due to a ruptured abdominal aneurysm.
