In the late 1980s, Percy Miller welcomed the birth of his first child, also named Percy, Percy Romeo. While living the New Orleans street life, the elder Percy decided to change his life, for his son. Choosing the rap game, Percy became known as Master P to the world.
Master P had some unsuccessful early 1990s releases, before coming into his own, in the mid-1990s. Doing his landmark Priority Records deal, P quickly became a millionaire. His No Limit Records label would have a huge roster, including Snoop Dogg.
Currently, Master P is airing his documentary, on BET. This morning, he did a video call with “The Breakfast Club,” where he would speak with DJ Envy, Angela Yee, and Charlamagne Tha God. Master P provided more insight into No Limit’s history, speaking on his business career, signing Snoop Dogg, and more.
