Mastermind and Mr. Carter: Rick Ross teams up with Lil Wayne to bring “Thug Cry” to life [PHOTO]

Last month, Rick Ross proved he is still one of the biggest artists in the game when he dropped Mastermind and the game partook. Album sales are often pointed out when Rick Ross is mentioned, but many downplay his impact. Presently, few rappers are having the type of impact Rick Ross has over the past few years.

Rick Ross built his impact and his name through making friends with Lil Wayne and the other industry power players. Since 2009, Rick Ross and Lil Wayne have put out several hit singles together. They have also combined forces on several singles from other artists, notably French Montana’s “Pop That.”

When Rick Ross went back to Lil Wayne for another collaboration for Mastermind, which has several singles out. “Thug Cry” is the next record he wants to give the single treatment and Rick Ross got with Lil Wayne to shoot the video. Rick Ross put a caption of the video out via his Instagram.
