Meek Mill and Michael Rubin’s REFORM Alliance celebrates legislative victory in HB 2038, in Virginia, which implements caps on probation terms

Definitely, Meek Mill turned his tragedy into triumph. At a young age, Meek Mill wound up on the wrong side of the law. The Philadelphia rapper continued battling the legal system, until he was 30-years-old.
Meek Mill, during this time, became friends with Michael Rubin. Rubin is a businessman, from Philadelphia, and a part-owner of the 76ers. After witnessing Meek Mill’s legal issues, the two partnered to create the REFORM Alliance.
Alongside Robert Kraft and Jay-Z, Meek Mill and Michael Rubin are the key members of REFORM Alliance. The organization scored a major victory, in Virginia, this week. In the Commonwealth, HB 2038 was passed, which implements caps on probation terms by limiting adult probation sentences to a maximum of one year for misdemeanor offenses and five years for felonies.
The law takes into effect, on July 1, 2021.
