When it comes to fan revolts, Meek Mill’s loss in popularity was beaten only by Ja Rule. However, unlike Ja, it looks like Meek Mill was able to survive most of his backlash. His beef with Drake was nothing like what most beefs are like.
Not only were he and Drake friends, Meek Mill just had Drake on his album, before he called him out. Plus, Rick Ross, Meek’s label boss, always had a good relationship with Drake. Since 2015, that relationship has been strained, though.
Since late last year, rumor has had it that Drake and Meek Mill made amends, brokered by Rick Ross. Recent months have seen Meek Mill hint as if he and Drake are on good terms. Then, yesterday morning, Meek Mill posted this video of him driving around in his Aventador, listening to “Back 2 Back,” the song that was his downfall.
