Meek Mill was able to translate his success on the Philadelphia mixtape scene into the mainstream hip hop world last year. Early in the year, Meek Mill signed to Rick Ross’ label, Maybach Music, and did not look back. After having some scene-stealing appearances on Self Made, Vol. 1, Meek Mill released his Dreamchasers mixtape.
In a year in which Rick Ross hoped to develop Wale into the star, Meek Mill emerged triumphant. This year has been more of the same, as Wale has taken a backseat, while the label is focusing its efforts on Meek Mill. Next month, Meek Mill will release his highly-anticipated debut album, Dreams & Nightmares.
Recently, The Daily Loud caught up to Meek Mill and they discussed how things have been for him since he signed with Maybach Music. Meek Mill went on to speak on the success of his Dreamchasers 2 mixtape. From there, Meek Mill also discussed his upcoming tour and the man who filmed the interview.
