The man who stole the thunder of the whole Maybach Music when he was free was Meek Mill. When the year began, Rick Ross assembled the team of Wale and Meek Mill, with the focus going to the DC superstar. While Wale did have hits, Meek Mill had the street and his single, “Tupac Back,” ended up owning radio.
Meek Mill continued to rise from the end of 2011 and into 2013, as his popularity swelled into something huge. The year of 2012 was to be Meek Mill’s year anyway, so he took it and owned it, delivering more hits. But, in 2013, he focused on developing his Dreamchasers label, overcoming a major blow.
This evening, Meek Mill made a tweet for the first time in months, as he’s been in prison since the late summer. He also unleashed a new single with Lil’ Boosie and Rick Ross shouted him out. All of this has led some to believe that Meek Mill is a free man again and that his album is coming.
