Currently, Meek Mill is on top of the game, as he has the entire industry rocking with him. All along, he’s had Rick Ross and Jay-Z in his corner, but the fans turned on him. In 2015, Meek Mill underestimated just how big Drake was getting, so him dissing his friend caused backlash.

Meek Mill going at Drake, plus Drake dropping two diss tracks, effectively ended Meek, for a bit. There were two years when few people took Meek Mill seriously. Last year, Meek changed that by dropping a hit record, but prison slowed him down.

Coming out of prison, Meek Mill came with another hit record, cementing his position in the game. Taking the mantle from Wale, Meek now makes the songs for the ladies, while also keeping the streets properly fed. During his “CRWN” interview on TIDAL, Meek told how he was on a double date with Jay-Z and Beyonce, when he and Nicki Minaj were dating, and how “Back 2 Back” came on the playlist.
